HARMONICA REPAIRS ACCEPTED AGAIN!! 15th November 08 - We are now able to accept harmonicas for repair and tuning again with the kind assistance of Dave Stewart of Werris Creek and Lawrie Minson of Tamworth. We are also currently in the process of obtaining accounts with the Australian Hohner and Suzuki distributors to reduce our reliance on importing instruments and parts from the USA which has become much less viable recently due to the savage drop in the AUD and the failure of some US suppliers.

GOOD NEWS!! 29th January 09 - The sorry state of the Aussie dollar has been making things really hard for us lately and we've even had to sell some of our models at a loss. Because of this we've now made arrangements with the Australian Suzuki distributors and the Australian Hohner distributors for supply from them. The Suzuki distributors don't carry all models/keys so we'll still have to get some from America but this will allow us to reduce our prices on the models they do have available. GOOD NEWS!! 24th February 09 - The Australian RRP has been increased on several Suzuki models over the last couple of weeks and this has increased our wholesale purchase costs on these models. Obiously this is not good news but the good news is that we've been able to absorb most of the price rises and our harmonica prices on most models are now well under the Australian RRP. We've had to adjust the shipping slightly on some models however our shipping to Australia is still free on all models we can get from the Australian distributors and our international shipping on these models is subsidised by a corresponding amount. Many more Hohner models have arrived over the last couple of weeks and are now in stock. We'll be getting some web pages up for the new models as soon as we can. Please realise that we can provide the best service and price if you email or phone us before you order, whether the web pages are up for that model or not. If you contact us before you buy we will do our best to offer you the best possible price available at the time. We try hard to keep the prices on the web pages as up to date as possible but with the Aussie dollar staggering about like a drunkard and wholesale prices shifting unpredicably it's often several days before we can adjust the advertised price to match the current economic situation. RECOMMENDED HARMONICAS 24th February 09 - Many people ask me which harmonicas I recommend. I play all the major Suzuki and Hohner diatonics but my current favourites are the Suzuki HA-20 Promaster Hammond for cross harp and the Hohner 580/20 Meisterklasse for straight harp. If price is no object then these are definitely the harps I recommend you try. For more economic harmonicas I recommend the Suzuki MR-250 Bluesmaster. Please realise however that (despite some very logical reasoning behind them) my recommendations are very much a matter of personal preference. For pretty well every major model of harmonica made there is somewhere in the world at least one (and often many more than one) fantastic harp player who swears by his or her favourite model over all others. I'm no fantastic harp player but I've played most of them (one of the best perks of the job!) and sold many of them. So far I've never found an unhappy musician with any of those I recommend above after several hundred sales. Happy Honkin', Dane

GOOD NEWS!! 12th March 09 - We've just discovered a promising Tombo and Lee Oskar supplier in Australia (thanks to Dave the harp-tuning truckie) and are currently in negotiations to arrange supply from them. MARCH SALE EXTENDED AND EXPANDED!! 10th April 09 - Our March sale was more successful than we hoped so we've decided to continue and expand it until the end of April. SHIPPING - We ship orders on the same day of cleared payment (if payment received before 12 noon on a business day) or on the next business day. All our harmonicas are packaged with the utmost care using cut-to-size cardboard surrounds, bubble wrap and padded post bags. All our harmonica cases are carefully sealed in plastic (okay, we'll be honest, we use freezer bags!) before additional padding and packaging is added as described. Printed labels are attached to all sides of each MandoHarp package - we do our best to make it as easy and obvious as possible for the Post Office. Combined shipping discounts are applied to all multiple-item purchases.

MandoHarp supplies and repairs reed and string instruments for local music shops and individual musicians - we sell to our friends.
