Hering "Black Blues" Diatonic Harmonica   STATUS - AVAILABLE SOON - Email or Phone to Order

"Founded by Mr. Alfred Hering in 1923 in the city of Blumenau, in the south of Brazil, the Hering company has long enjoyed a reputation as a world leader in the manufacture of fine harmonicas.

After the death of Mr. Hering, the company was sold in the middle 60's to the M. Hohner Company, of Trossingen, Germany. At that time, Hering was also manufacturing accordions and a variety of musical toys. In 1979, a Brazilian group bought the Hering Company and Hohner left Brazil.

After 16 years, in 1996, a group of investors, with Mr. Alberto Bertolazzi as a leader, purchased the corporation. Mr. Bertolazzi and his management team, with a vision of producing products of the highest quality, returned the company to its origin, as producer of harmonicas as its sole interest." (from Hering company information)

The "Black Blues" is one of the finest diatonic harmonicas offered by Hering. This harmonica has a beautifully, sweet tone and requires little air pressure to produce it.

"Extra-thick reedplates (1,07mm) are recessed into black ABS plastic body, assembled with 5 self-tapping screws, assuring the ultimate air-tight assembly. Cover plates are coated with electrolytic black chrome. 20 reeds." (from Hering Product Information)

About MandoHarp

At MandoHarp we play the instruments we sell! Each of our musician and craft associates has over thirty years experience within their area of expertise. MandoHarp supplies and repairs reed and string instruments for local music shops and individual musicians - we sell to our friends. At MandoHarp our pimary areas of expertise are Mandolins and Harmonicas, hence our name. We also have contracted associates who work with a wide range of instruments, especially folk. This is our first foray onto the internet and we look forward to meeting many new musical friends here. At MandoHarp we appreciate fine instruments and we want you to have them!

About MandoHarp Instruments

All MandoHarp instruments are tracked from the moment of their original creation or purchase. Each instrument is assessed by an expert musician when received and again before offering it for sale. A brief report is written and stored in our database for each item, noting paticularly our expert assessment on receipt, any work performed on the instrument and its final condition.

Personal Service

At MandoHarp we like to get to know our customers - we're musicians and we like to get to know other musicians. We love to talk with musicians whenever possible [probably a bit too much! :)]. And especially musicians who are interested in our instruments. Please feel more than welcome to email (info@mandoharp.com) or phone us (61- 2-66554545) to discuss your music at any time.

Inspections, trials and pickup by prior arrangement are welcome at our workshops in Repton, near Coffs Harbour on the NSW North Coast.
