The Loudbark Company was started with a single idea: If timber has been used for centuries to enhance the sound of musical instruments such as guitar, violin, cello, double bass, flute, recorder, pan pipes, didjeridoo and various kinds of drums, why can't it be used to make a microphone that enhances the sound of the harmonica?
So we went to work with the materials that we love, Australian Timbers.
While the search for suitable Timbers is never ending, we have some that add beautiful warm tones to the sound of a harp.
These include Australian Redgum from the Murray River Region, Blackheart Sassafrass from Tasmania, the very rare Jarrah from South Western Australia, Black Wattle from Southern Australia and our favourite timber for Mics, Australian Cypress from Northern Victoria. |
